Maharashtra reports 118 COVID-19 positive cases in one day

Mumbai/UNI: Maharashtra has reported 118 more cases of novel coronavirus taking the total number of infections in the state to 3,320.

"With 7 fresh deaths, the death toll now stands at 201," an official statement updated.

Out of seven death toll included five men and two women adding that 5 deaths were reported from Mumbai and two in Pune.

The sources further said that till today 61,740 swab samples have been collected for the investigation of which 56,964 were tested as negative and 3,320 were tested as positive.

A total of 331 Corona patients were cured and discharged across the state.

At present 74,784 persons were advised to be under home quarantine and 6373 were kept in different isolation places for quarantine.

The death ratio of Maharashtra State is more compared to other states, shows the report.

Out of 3320 positive patients, 2,085 patients are alone from Mumbai with 122 deaths which are known as the national capital city of the economy.

However, as per reports, Friday saw a less number of cases compared to the last few days.

The state is hopeful to further grasp the viral in the coming days.
