New Delhi/IBNS: India, the country which witnessed a massive dip in Covid-19 daily cases a day ago, on Wednesday reported over 63,000 new infections besides 730 fatalities.

In the last 24 hours, the country has reported 63,509 new infections, roughly eight thousand more cases reported on Tuesday.

In a ray of light at a time 1.3 billion people of the country are worried over the pandemic which has swept 36 states and union territories, Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan on Tuesday said India is likely to have a vaccine against the virus in early 2021.

The Health Minister said as quoted by the media, "We're expecting that early next year, we should have vaccines in the country from maybe more than one source.

"Our expert groups are already formulating and devising strategies to plan on how to roll out the distribution of the vaccines in the country, who do we give the vaccine first and then of course we are strengthening  the cold chain facilities."

Four Coronavirus vaccine candidates are presently in advanced stages of pre-clinical trial.
