India reports 18,815 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours

New Delhi/UNI: India registered 18,815 new Covid-19 cases, the Health Ministry said Friday.

According to the bulletin, the total caseload rose to 4,35,85,554, while the death toll rose to 5,25,343 as 38 more succumbed to the disease.

Total 15,899 people recovered from the disease, taking the tally to 4,29,37,876. The recovery rate stands at 98.51 per cent.

The active caseload stands at 1,22,335, the figures showed.

As per the bulletin, 86.57 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.

India has administered 198.51 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
