India records 5,664 new Covid-19 cases

New Delhi: India has registered 5,664 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry said on Sunday.

According to the bulletin issued by the Health Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,45,34,188 while the death toll rose to 5,28,337 as 35 more succumbed to the disease.

A total of 4,555 people recovered from the infection, taking the recovery to 4,39,57,929. The recovery rate stands at 98.71 percent.

The active caseload stands at 47,922, the figures showed.

As per the bulletin, 89.15 crore Covid-19 tests have been done so far.

India has administered 216.56 crore doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, including 94.65 cr Second Dose and 19.48 cr Precaution Dose so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
