India records 44,230 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours, 555 deaths

New Delhi: India recorded 44,230 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, as per data released by the Ministry of Health on Friday.

During the same period, 555 people died due to the deadly virus.

The total death toll due to the disease now stands at 423217.

India's Active caseload currently 4,05,155.

Active cases constitute 1.28% of total cases.

3,07,43,972 total recoveries reported across the country so far.

Recovery Rate currently stands at 97.38%.

Weekly Positivity Rate remains below 5 percent. It currently stands at 2.43 percent.
