India records 29,689 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours, lowest figure in 132 days

New Delhi: India recorded 29,689 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, the lowest daily rise recorded in the past 132 days, as per data released by the Ministry of Health on Tuesday.

India's Active caseload is less than 4,00,000 after 124 days and currently stands at 3,98,100.

In the past 24 hours, 415 people died due to the virus.

The death toll due to the disease now stands at 421382.

3,06,21,469 total recoveries across the country recorded so far, the ministry said.

Recovery Rate currently stands at 97.39 percent.

42,363 patients recovered during the last 24 hours.

Active cases constitute 1.27% of total cases.

India is witnessing a decline in the second wave which left the country shocked.

The country witnessed shortage of hospital beds and oxygen supply amid a spike in cases earlier this year.

The increase in deaths also lft crematoriums and burial grounds overwhelmed.
