India records 2,73,810 new COVID-19 cases, 1619 deaths

New Delhi: India recorded another day of COVID-19 spike as 2,73,810 new cases were recorded in the past 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health released data on Monday.

During the same period, 1619 people died due to the deadly virus.

India is currently witnessing the second wave of COVID-19 outbreak.

The death toll due to the disease now stands at 178769.

There are 1929329 active cases in the country at present.

So far, 12953821 people have been discharged.
