India records 24,492 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

New Delhi: India recorded  24,492 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health released data on Tuesday.

During the same period, 131 deaths due to the virus were recorded.

The death toll due to the deadly virus now stands at 1,58,856.

There are 223432 active cases in the country at present.

The number of discharged people is currently 11027543.

During the 24 hours period, 20191 people have recovered.
