India records 1,761 new Covid cases, 127 deaths in last 24 hours

New Delhi/IBNS: India registered 1,761 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Sunday.

According to the bulletin issued by the Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,30,07,841 while the death toll rose to 5,16,479 with 127 people succumbing to the disease in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 3,196 more people have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 4,24,65,122. The recovery rate stands at 98.74 per cent.

The active caseload stands at 26,240, the figures showed.

According to the bulletin, 78.26 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.

India has administered 181.21 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
