India records 1,086 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India recorded 1,086 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, slightly higher than the daily count recorded for the past two days, as per data released by the Ministry of Health on Wednesday.

During the same period, 71 people died due to the virus.

India's active caseload currently stands at 11,871.

Active cases stand at 0.03 percent.

Recovery Rate currently at 98.76 percent.

1,198 people recovered from the disease during the 24-hour period.

Daily positivity rate now stands at 0.23 percent.
