Homeopathic treatment protocol can treat Black Fungus attack, says homeopath Dr Samit Ghosh

According to Dr Samit Ghosh, Consultant Homeopath at the OPD, Barrackpore, National Institute of Homeopathy, Mucormycosis or the dreaded Black Fungus is a potentially dangerous condition which spreads from Mucor fungus and can always be found in our surroundings.

Usually it does not spread in human bodies because the body’s immunity usually shields us from the dangerous effects, said Dr Ghosh.

But since the second surge of COVID 19 we are losing many lives across India due to Mucormycosis.

According to Dr Ghosh, “Though it is not yet certain the reason for the spread of Mucormycosis but primarily those with diabetes, cancer or those who have consumed strong drugs against COVID 19 virus and have compromised immunity are more susceptible  to Mucormycosis.”

“Homeopathy can play a very important role in fighting Mucormycosis effectively, like it does in case of many other diseases,” said Dr Ghosh.

“Every COVID patient must intake a proper, balanced diet, practise physical exercises like Yoga and medication to improve immunity. Timely intervention through classical Homeopathy medicines and hospitalisation can help patients combat death. Homeopathy does not have the same medicines for the same disease/health condition, most of it is determined through symptomatic treatment but it is advised that the patient must consult a classical homeopath.”

He said, “In certain cases of similar symptoms amongst a large number of patients help homeopaths determine a treatment protocol of administering similar medicines and they work very well on them. Like in the case of COVID-19, Aresnic Album or Bryonia worked wonders. Apart from this In-Vitro model has been widely investigated and researched and it has been found out that homeopathy medicines have effectively worked against the growth of different forms of fungus and clinical studies have shown efficacy of homeopathy drugs against these.”

According to Dr Ghosh, “Mucormycosis is usually accompanied by pain, swelling and reddish skin around the eyes and the nose, fever, cough, headache, cold, vomiting with blood, mood swings. To counter this, the Central government’s Ministry of AYUSH, has issued a homeopathy Medical Protocol.”

The protocol states that the patients need to take three medicines at the regular intervals, Arsenic Album 200- four globules twice daily for three days followed by THUJA -Occidentalis 1M four globules after seen days once after which another seven days later Tuberculinum 1M four globules once.

Apart from the mentioned protocol, medicines as Aurum Metallicum, Mercurius Solubilis, Kali Bichromicum , SulphurIodatum, Acid Benzoicum, Sulphur, Phosphorus,  Echinacea may be used based on symptoms of the patients. But above all Dr Ghosh suggests that immunity must be increased
