CRPF inaugurates additional COVID-19 care unit in Nagaland

Kohima: In order to enhance quarantine facilities for the force personnel reporting from leave and government duty, additional Quarantine centre inaugurated by Ritu Datta and Randeep Datta, PMG, IGP, CRPF, Manipur and Nagaland in the campus of CRPF, Kohima.

The facility was inaugurated with provisions of many Covid care equipments, Infrared Thermometer, Oxymetre, Oxygen cylinder, Medicines, Face Mask, Hand sanitizer, Hand gloves, PPE Kit and other facilities.

The IGP CRPF Manipur & Nagaland apprised that Quarantine and isolation facilities are already available for the CRPF personnel in Nagaland.

Ritu Datta, wife of Randeep Datta is Regional President of CRPF WIVES WELFARE ASSOCIATION in Manipur & Nagaland.

She is Gold Medalist in Software Engineering and left lucrative Job in IT field for rendering her selfless service to the families of peace keepers and to ensure their Health, Children Education, Welfare, self-dependence scheme and stress-free environment.

She is charismatic and multi-talented personality who proved her efficacy in Lawn tennis, Badminton and extracurricular activities.

During the occasion, she distributed huge sanitizing and Covid care items to many families and children. Datta also specifically briefed and sensitized the families about positive thoughts, Stress management, Health care and preventive measures against Corona Virus. Datta, IGP added that more Quarantine/isolation facility will be extended in coming days to accommodate maximum Force personnel to avoid over-load of State Covid centre in order to facilitate local populace to avail more facilities of State Covid Centre.

DIG (Ops) Kohima CRPF, rendered immense contribution to the destitute/laborers during acute crises of pandemic Covid-19  by distributing foods, Rations, sanitizing items,- besides free water supply in remote colonies. The noble and philanthropic work of CRPF have been highly applauded by the local public as well as by the State administration.

On the other hand, during visit in Kohima, Randeep Datta, PMG, IG, Manipur & Nagaland Sector, CRPF reviewed deployment & security scenario in Nagaland alongwith Syamchand De, DIGP (Ops) CRPF Kohima.

He called on R.N. Ravi, Governor of Nagaland, Chief secretary, Home Commissioner, IG AR(N) and discussed on existing security threat ramifications and upgrading security grid.

He also discussed to adopt effective strategy to counter natural calamities through efficacious disaster management.

Further, Datta explained about multiple civic action programme executed by CRPF in Nagaland like Blood donation camp, distribution of food/utility items, organizing football matches, Mass plantation, Cleanliness drive etc.

He also specifically mentioned about Commendable  contribution of DIG(Ops) Kohima Range, 78 & 173 Bn, CRPF during pandemic Covid-19 crises  since April till date by free distribution of Ration items, Soaps, Hand sanitizer, Cotton Rolls, paper Napkin, Hand wash, PPE Kit, Hand gloves etc to the needy people.

The IGP also stressed and assured to do more community development programme in far-flung pockets for socio-economic development of the poor/needy people of Nagaland in order to win their heart and trust.

He further expressed that CRPF is ever- ready to adopt all steps to ensure National Integrity, Security and Peace to the citizens.
