COVID-19: Six more test positive in Haryana, 190 affected

Chandigarh/UNI: With six fresh positive Coronavirus cases surfacing in Haryana, the tally of COVID-19 positive patients rose to 190 in the state on Wednesday.

According to an official bulletin, three persons have been tested positive for Coronavirus in Nuh district and one case each from Panipat, Panchkula and Sonepat districts.

In Haryana, Nuh district leads the tally with 48 positive cases, follows by Faridabad 33, Gurugram 32, Palwal 29, Ambala seven, Karnal and Panchkula six each, Panipat five, Sirsa and Sonepat four each, Yamunanagar three, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Hisar, Jind and Bhiwani two each and Fatehabad, Rohtak and Charkhi Dadri districts recorded one case each.

As many as 7,098 samples, 190 samples were found positive, 5,291 negative while reports of 1,617 were awaited. There were 146 active cases in the state.

The bulletin stated that out of total 190 confirmed cases, six are from Sri Lanka and one each from Nepal, Thailand, Indonesia, South Africa and 64 from other states (eleven Uttar Pradesh, ten Himachal Pradesh, eight Bihar, seven Tamil Nadu, six Maharashtra, five Kerala, four West Bengal, three from Jammu and Kashmir, two each from Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Telengana and one each from Punjab, Karnataka, Chennai and Assam).

The deadly Coronavirus has claimed two lives in Haryana so far.

One death was reported from Karnal district and another from Rohtak district.

However, as many as 42 patients, including 17 patients from Gurugram, eight from Faridabad, four from Panipat, three from Karnal, two each from Panchkula, Sirsa and Ambala, one patient each from Bhiwani, Hisar, Palwal and Sonepat districts, have been discharged so far.

A total of 26,397 patients have been put on surveillance till date out of which 12,252 persons have completed their surveillance period and currently 15,082 patients are under surveillance. Among them, 1143 persons were currently hospitalised or isolated, the bulletin added.
