COVID-19 comes from Wuhan lab: Chinese virologist claims

| @indiablooms | Sep 15, 2020, at 02:04 am

A Chinese virologist has claimed that she has scientific proof that the COVID-19 virus originated from a Wuhan laboratory.

Dr. Li-Meng Yan was allegedly forced to flee to the US amid safety concerns.

Dr. Li-Meng Yan, who specialized in virology and immunology at the Hong Kong School of Public Health, told ITV show Loose Women: "This virus is not from nature."

"I use this evidence to tell people why this has come from the lab in China, why they are the ones who made it," Li-Meng said during the interview from a 'secret location'.

She said if she did not reveal the truth then she would be 'regretful'.

During her interview with the chat show, Yan said she had to flee to the US for her own safety and is now determined to spread her findings to the world.

Speaking on her unpublished research, the virologist said: "The genome sequence is like our human fingerprint. So, based on this you can recognise and identify this thing. So, I used the evidence existing in the genome sequence of Sars-CoV-2 to tell people why this came from China, why they are the only one who made it.”

"You can check, identify and verify it by yourself. It is the critical thing for us to know the origins of the virus. If not, it will be life-threatening for everyone," she said adding that people with no knowledge of biology can also read it.
