COVID-19: Aurangabad reports one fatality, 56 new cases

Aurangabad/UNI: A 55-year-old woman succumbed to the COVID-19 at the Government Medical College and Hospital(GMCH) while 56 new cases were detected here on Thursday, stated GMCH Dean Dr Kanan Yelikar.

On May 12, the deceased was brought to the GMCH following the reference of a private hospital, Dr Kanan said, adding that the woman tested COVID-19 post admittance.

Having a history of Diabetes and suffering from comorbidities, the woman died at 0520 hours. Out of the 56 new cases, the highest 15 are from Bhimnagar while one is from Jalna district.

Now, this district's pandemic tally has surged to 743 among which 20 persons have died.
