The 35-year-old businessman, under home quarantine, was shifted to the isolation ward of Dhubri Civil Hospital on April 7 after he showed symptoms.

His samples were taken on April 10 and the results came on Sunday showing positive for COVID 19. He is being brought to MMCH at Guwahati to for treatment.

Dr Sarma said the person had visited New Delhi last month, including a trip to Nizamuddin area, though he was not related to the Tablighi Jamaat.
