6.9 earthquake hits Myanmar,tremors felt in Indian cities
Kolkata/New Delhi, Apr 13 (IBNS) An earthquake measuring 6.9 on the Richter Scale hit Myanmar on Wednesday as tremors were felt in several Indian cities like Kolkata and Guwahati.
The epicentre of the quake was felt south-east of of Mawlaik.
In Kolkata, people rushed out of buildings and many were seen blowing conch shells.
No casualty has been reported so far.
