TVS Motor hands over 10 Apache RR 200 mini motorcycles to MMSC, launches rider development programme for children
TVS Motor Company, part of TVS VENU, on Tuesday handed over 10 specially developed TVS Apache RR 200 Mini motorcycles to the Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC), marking the launch of a structured grassroots racing programme for young riders.
The purpose-built TVS Apache RR 200 Mini motorcycles will serve as the foundation of the newly introduced TVS Apache Junior Programme, designed to nurture aspiring racers aged 10 to 14 years. The initiative aims to equip young participants with professional racing skills through structured training under the guidance of experienced instructors and TVS Racing champions.
The programme offers a first-of-its-kind learning pathway for children to discover and develop their racing potential in a safe and controlled environment. Training sessions will be conducted at the Madras International Karting Arena (MIKA), where participants will ride specially developed TVS Apache RR 200 Mini motorcycles, available on rent as part of the programme.
Besides introducing young riders to the fundamentals of motorcycle racing—including discipline, precision, control and safety—the initiative seeks to make professional motorsport more accessible while strengthening India's grassroots racing ecosystem.
TVS Motor has also created a structured progression pathway for participants as they advance in the sport:
TVS Apache Junior Programme (10–14 years): Training and practice on the TVS Apache RR 200 Mini motorcycle.
TVS One Make Championship (OMC) Rookie Category (15 years and above): Entry into competitive circuit racing.
TVS OMC RR 310 Expert Category: Advanced racing development.
TVS Racing International Championship: Opportunities to compete on the global stage.
