Suzlon FY25 PAT soars 214% YoY to ₹2,072 cr; Q4 profit jumps 365% to ₹1,181 cr

Pune: Renewable energy giant Suzlon Group ended FY25 with its strongest performance in a decade, reporting a full-year Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹2,072 crore, aided by a deferred tax asset gain of ₹638 crore.

The company also posted a robust Q4 FY25, with PAT jumping more than fourfold year-on-year and up threefold sequentially.

Q4 FY25 Performance

  • PAT rose to ₹1,181 crore, up from ₹254 crore in Q4 FY24 and ₹388 crore in Q3 FY25 — a YoY growth of 365% and QoQ rise of 204%.
  • Revenue stood at ₹3,774 crore, up 73% YoY from ₹2,179 crore and 27% QoQ from ₹2,969 crore.
  • EBITDA rose to ₹693 crore, up 94% YoY from ₹357 crore and 39% QoQ from ₹499 crore.
  • EBITDA margin improved to 18.4%, compared to 16.4% a year ago and 16.8% in the previous quarter.
  • PBT (before exceptional items) reached ₹551 crore, nearly doubling YoY from ₹280 crore and up 41% from ₹391 crore in Q3.

Full-Year FY25

  • PAT jumped to ₹2,072 crore, up 214% from ₹660 crore in FY24.
  • PBT (before exceptional items) came in at ₹1,447 crore, up 103% YoY.
  • EBITDA rose 81% to ₹1,857 crore from ₹1,029 crore.
  • Revenue grew 67% to ₹10,851 crore.
  • Net volumes delivered for the year were 1,550 MW, up 118% YoY.
  • EBITDA margin for the year was 17.1%, compared to 15.8% in FY24.
  • The company's net cash position strengthened to ₹1,943 crore, indicating improved liquidity and fiscal discipline.

Segment Highlights

Wind Turbine Generator (WTG): Suzlon delivered a record 1.55 GW, with contribution margin rising to 23%, up 360 bps YoY. The company expanded its S144 – 3.X MW series production with 10 new lines and added nacelle capacity in Daman and Puducherry.

S144 Turbine: The indigenously designed S144 turbine contributed 1.25 GW of FY25 deliveries and now makes up 91% of the firm order book, which stands at a record 5.6 GW.

Operations and Maintenance Services (OMS): The OMS segment managed 15 GW of installed wind assets across India, generating stable annuity revenue. Gujarat (4.2 GW), Rajasthan (2.3 GW), and Maharashtra (2.2 GW) remain leading states.

Guidance and Outlook

Vice Chairman Girish Tanti said FY25’s results reflect Suzlon’s strategic and operational evolution. “India has crossed 50 GW of wind capacity. With a 5.6 GW order book and increased scale, Suzlon is poised to help India reach the 100 GW target by 2030.”

CEO JP Chalasani noted that the company has completed its ramp-up phase and is now well-positioned for long-term growth.
