Sensex recovers by 92.42 pts

Mumbai, Feb 28 (UNI/IBNS) : The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday recovered by 92.42 points to 35,997.85 as buying was seen in metal, auto, FMCG and realty stocks.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too advanced by 18.10 points to 10,932.80.

The Sensex registered intra-day high and low at 36,085.85 and 35,916.26 respectively.

The Nifty recorded intra-day high and low at 10,865.70 and 10,800.20 points respectively.

The gainers were ONGC by 2.07 pc to Rs 145.80, VEDL by 1.79 pc to Rs 167.60, Tata Motors by 1.78 pc to Rs 180.35, Sun Pharma by 1.27 pc to Rs 447.50 and Coal India by 0.90 pc to Rs 223.35.

The losers were Hero motocorp by 1.26 pc to Rs 2641.00, TCS by 1.19 pc to Rs 2029.30, Bajaj Auto by 0.83 pc to Rs 2888.00, Axis Bank by 0.80 pc to Rs 712.10 and M&M by 0.60 to Rs 651.90.
