Kolkata / Delhi, Aug 8 (IBNS): Automobile giant Nissan India on Wednesday launched the More Intelligent and More Sporty variant of its globally popular premium hatchback Micra.

With a host of fun, intelligent and enhanced safety features, the new Nissan Micra is the best value-for-money premium hatchback available in India today.

The More Intelligent & More Sporty new Nissan Micra is available at a starting price of INR 5.03 lakh across India.

“With a fusion of European styling and Japanese technology, the Micra is Nissan’s most popular models in over 100 countries. Catering to the needs of Indian consumers for a safer, interactive and a more intelligent driving experience, we have introduced the more intelligent and sportier Nissan Micra with a host of features addressing these needs,” said, Hardeep Singh Brar, Director, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd.

The More Intelligent and Sporty Nissan Micra with newly introduced safety features enhances the vehicle’s safety and intelligence quotient. Enhanced safety features e.g. Dual Airbags, Speed warning device, Speed-sensing Door Lock and Driver Seat Belt Reminder make the New Micra more safe and reliable for its customers.

Much attention has been paid to meet the expectations of customers looking for intelligent features in the vehicle. Speed warning device, Reverse parking sensor and Reverse parking camera with built-in 6.2’’ Touch Screen AVN with Phone mirroring and Turn Indicators on ORVM offer Nissan Micra customers a raft of features and technology. This is combined with sleek and dynamic exterior styling, interior spaciousness and comfort as well as engaging and efficient on-road performance.

NissanConnect - an integrated connected car technology, available in the new Micra bundles together features for best-in-class security and convenience. Features like geo-fencing, speed alert, curfew alert, nearby pit stops, Locate My Car and Share My Car Location address the rising concerns regarding the safety & security of car users along with the control & well-being of the vehicle. Keyless entry and push-stop-start via intelligent Key, and ‘Lead Me to Car’, which guide passengers to their cars, make the drive experience more convenient.

Customers of the new Nissan Micra have a choice of two powertrains - a 1.2-litre petrol engine paired with the performing-enhancing, globally popular X-Tronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), or a 1.5-litre diesel paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Dual Airbags, Speed-sensing Door Lock and Driver Seat Belt Reminder come as standard across all variants.
