olkata, Apr 8 (IBNS): NIP NGO, an organization that runs computer training centre for the blinds, came up with the unique innovative initiative to aware the people through a panel discussion on “Is The City Disable & Senior Citizen Friendly?”, here.

National Institute of Professionals - NIP NGO is primarily an educational centre providing basic education on computer and educational programme to the blinds, disabled persons and under privileged students, directed by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).

NIP steps towards helping the Blind and Differently-Abled in every possible way.

NIP is rolling on the shifting ground of social and political currency, and the changes facing disabled people are a litmus test for community, state, national and global change.

Debjyoti Roy, Secretary, NIP NGO, said, “Having worked with the disable, I personally noticed that they were completely ignored. I understand the varied problems associated with them which are unmet. Through my experience, dealing with the disabled, I understand that vehicles are one aspect which is not at all friendly. They can’t move freely even in pavements. They are afraid to enter in a cinema hall or in a shopping mall or in a hotel or in an office or in a bank etc. So I think people must be aware with the problems they are facing day by day.”
