J&K floods: Jet Airways dispatches relief material into Srinagar

New Delhi, Sept 11 (IBNS): In the wake of the devastating floods in Jammu & Kashmir, Jet Airways has been flying in relief material into Srinagar on its daily Delhi-Srinagar service without any charge.
The airline has been in constant touch with multiple NGOs and is working closely with them to ensure the upliftment of relief material for the flood affected people of Kashmir. 
 
Jet Airways has received requests for carriage of nearly 5,000 kgs of relief material such as tents, blankets, food grains medical supplies and the same is being fulfilled.
 
Jet Airways’, on Thursday, operated an additional Boeing 737 non-scheduled flight from Leh to New Delhi to evacuate 133 stranded passengers in Leh. This is in addition to the existing daily service operating to Leh from New Delhi.
 
The airline is in constant dialogue with the authorities and the Paramilitary & armed forces to co-ordinate the safe passage of individuals from the flood affected areas to safety.
 
Jet  Airways has further extended the waiver for refund / reissue penalties on  all  confirmed  tickets  issued  for  travel  to and from Srinagar until Sept  30.  
 
Guests will be kept informed and updated on fresh developments at regular intervals. Guests can use the following waiver code as a reference to all future communication: RMPPP140905
 
"Our Airport staff at Srinagar are available at a given notice to supervise and assist guests during any exigencies," the company stated.
