Jammu and Kashmir: Police arrest youth with live bullets

Ananatnag/UNI: A youth was on Friday arrested during a naka checking by police in this south Kashmir district of Anantnag, where three day lockdown was imposed from today to prevent further spread of COVID-19, official sources said.

They said nakas were established at several places in Anantnag this morning to implement the restrictions imposed by the administration due to surge in the coronavirus positive cases.

At Karikadal naka checking a youth on motorcycle was intercepted during his frisking 50 live rounds were recovered.

He was identified as Adil Fayaz Bhat son of Fayaz Ahman of Khiram Sarigufwara and his motorcycle was seized.

A case FIR no 184/2020) under section 7/25 Arms Act and 23 ULA Act stands register in Police Station Bijbehara, they said adding he was being questioned.
