ITC Hotels Q1 profit surges 53% to ₹134 cr; eyes 220 properties, 20,000 rooms by 2030
Kokata: ITC Hotels Ltd reported a 53% year-on-year increase in its consolidated net profit for the June quarter, reaching ₹133.71 crore, up from ₹87.16 crore in the corresponding period last year.
The growth was attributed to strong performance in room bookings and food services.
The company’s revenue from operations rose 15.5% to ₹815.54 crore in the first quarter, compared to ₹705.84 crore a year ago, according to a Times of India report.
Total expenses stood at ₹674.97 crore, up from ₹596.41 crore in the same quarter last year.
ITC Hotels said average daily rates (ADRs) for the quarter rose 9%, while occupancy improved by 275 basis points, leading to a 13% rise in revenue per available room (RevPAR).
Food and beverage revenue also recorded a 13% growth, supported by strong demand in banqueting and outdoor catering.
As of now, the company operates over 200 hotels, with 143 currently operational and another 58 in the pipeline. It aims to reach 220 hotels and more than 20,000 rooms by 2030, according to PTI.
During the quarter, ITC Hotels signed eight new properties comprising approximately 700 keys in locations such as Bodhgaya, Goa, Lucknow, Mysore, and Vrindavan.
The company currently runs over 13,400 rooms across six brands: ITC Hotels, Mementos, Welcomhotel, Storii, Fortune, and WelcomHeritage.
Of the 58 hotels in the pipeline, over 5,300 keys are planned, with a significant portion comprising brownfield developments.
While acknowledging a temporary disruption in May 2025 due to geopolitical factors, the company noted that the hospitality sector showed a steady recovery thereafter.
Looking ahead, ITC Hotels said, “A favourable demographic profile, steady domestic demand and rising consumption levels augur well for the hospitality industry in India.”
It added that demand for rooms is likely to exceed supply in the coming years, and continued government support through infrastructure and tourism development will aid further sectoral growth.
