Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Wednesday ended strong at 74.19, advancing by 27 paise against the USD due to brisk selling of US Dollar by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.

The domestic unit that opened on a steady note at 74.45, marginally up by one paisa, edged up by 27 paise to settle at 74.19 as compared to its previous close.

The Rupee remained strong for the third straight session owing to a weak Dollar against other world currencies along with robust stock market, dealers added.

The rupee registered the intra days high and low at 74.49 and 74.15 respectively, he added.
