Indian Rupee down 45 paise against USD
Mumbai: The Rupee on Wednesday slid 45 paise to close at 79.16 against the USD on rising demand for the US Dollar from bankers and exporters, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.
The domestic unit fell by two paise at 78.73 in early trade and lost further and closed at 79.16, dropping 45 paise as compared to its previous close.
The Rupee registered the day's high and low at 78.70 and 79.20 respectively against the US Dollar, the dealers.
