Indian markets close on a positive note on Thursday
Mumbai, Aug 11 (IBNS): The Indian market, which swung widely on Thursday finally ended on a positive note, with Sensex up 84.72 points to 27859.60 and Nifty up 16.85 to 8592.15.
Energy and FMCG stocks fared well while metal, capital goods and auto stocks were a drag, media reported.
Lupin, ITC, ICICI Bank, Reliance and Asian Paints ended as some of the key gainers on Thursayd while SBI, Adani Ports, M&M, GAIL and Sun Pharma ranked among the losers.
