Indian Market: Sensex drops by over 100 points

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Monday slipped 198 pts at 51,161.51 as selling was seen across the board.

The Nifty too declined 43.35 pts at 15,250.15.

The sensex registered days high and low at 51,614.11 and 51,062.93 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered days high and low at 15,363.10 and 15,191.10 pts respectively.

The Mid Cap eased 1.34 pc and Small Cap by 1.93 pc.

In 30 scrips 11 advanced while 19 declined.

The losers were Tata Steel by 4.43 pc to Rs 866.65, IndusInd Bank by 1.92 pc to Rs 791.45, Powergrid by 1.75 pc to Rs 207.85, L& T by 1.74 pc to Rs 1462.90 and Bajaj Finserv by 1.54 pc to Rs 11,577.

The gainers were HDFC by 1.67 pc to Rs 2087.10, Hind Unilever by 1.61 pc to Rs 2146.50, Sun Pharma by 1 pc to Rs 801.50 and HDFC Bank by 0.81 pc to Rs 1300.51.
