Indian Market: Sensex down over 300 points

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Friday slipped 301.82 points at 57,920.84 on profit booking by local operators.

The Nifty too fell 84.60 points at 17,247.20.

Almost all stocks were in red.

The Sensex registered intra day high and low at 58,178.55 and 57,911.07 points respectively.

The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 17,322.40 and 17,239 points respectively.

The Mid Cap eased by 0.61 per cent and Small Cap by 0.19 per cent.

In 30 scrips, 4 advanced while 26 declined.

The losers were ICICI Bank by 1.34 per cent to Rs 873.45, IndusInd Bank by 1.31 per cent to Rs 1184.95, Tata Steel by 1.30 per cent to Rs 102.10, SBI by 1.14 per cent to Rs 531 and ITC by 1.05 per cent to Rs 333.

The gainers were Titan by 5.10 per cent to Rs 2726, Maruti Suzuki by 0.84 per cent to Rs 8774.95 and HCL Technology by 0.35 per cent to Rs 967.
