Indian Market: Sensex down by over 500 points

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex remained weak on Tuesday too, as the BSE Sensex dropped 532.12 points at 55,143.20 as selling was seen across the board.

The Nifty was slipped 135.05 points at 16,434.50.

The Sensex registered days high and low at 55,387.77 and 55,115.86 points respectively.

The Nifty registered days high and low at 16,487.25 and 16,408.50 points respectively.

The Mid cap declined 0.82 per cent and Small Cap by 0.26 per cent.

In 30 scrips, 3 advanced while 27 declined.

The losers were Titan by 3.72 per cent to Rs 2117.40, Asian Paints by 2.79 per cent to Rs 2740.20, Hind Unilever by 2.72 per cent to Rs 2217.35 and Kotak Bank by 1.72 per cent to Rs 4232.55.

The gainers were Reliance Industries by 0.36 per cent to Rs 2776.85, Axis Bank by 0.16 per cent to Rs 673 and Powergrid by 0.11 per cent to Rs 224.85.
