Indian benchmark indices decline on Tuesday

Mumbai, Sep 20 (IBNS): Indian markets ended in the red on Tuesday with Sensex down 111.30 points at 28523.20 and Nifty down 32.50 points at 8775.90, largely due to prfit booking, media reported.

Key gainers on Tuesday included Tata Steel, ONGC, Cipla, Maruti, Power Grid, YES Bank, Hindalco and Lupin while Adani Ports, Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, Infosys, GAIL India, Reliance Industries, ITC, Bharti, NTPC and BHEL ended as losers.

According to media reports, the market is in a cautious mode ahead of respective policy meetings by the US Federal Reserve and the Bank of Japan this week.
