Mumbai/IBNS: Shares of Hindustan Copper rallied sharply on Tuesday amid a surge in copper prices in both domestic and international markets, media reports said.

The shares of the state-owned miner jumped nearly 7% in early trade on Tuesday, extending their gains after a strong 15% rally on Monday.

Hindustan Copper was trading 6.62% higher at Rs 519.75 on the BSE during early trading hours.

The stock has emerged as a standout multibagger in 2025, having doubled investor wealth since the beginning of the year, Business Today reported.

The surge comes amid positive sentiment around copper, with the metal gaining over 40% so far in 2025.

Meanwhile, copper prices on the London Metal Exchange are trading close to $13,000 per tonne, CNBC TV18 reported.
