Ranihati, Feb 20 (IBNS): Kolkata’s iconic automobile company- French Motors Car Co. Ltd -today launched the unique ‘Photo Ok Please’ contest which is a brain child of Tata Motors.

Continuing their 65 year old partnership, Tata Motors selected French Motors Car Co. Ltd(FMC) to execute this national initiative for their esteemed truck drivers in West Bengal.

Travelling the length and breadth of this magnificent country, the Tata truck drivers discover unseen and unexplored parts of India in their daily lives. To add value to this experience, the contest encourages them to turn photographers and capture the moment in their cameras. These photos can be of people, monuments, trucks, journeys and experiences.

To roll out the campaign, FMC has set up info booths at their multiple centres where they will explain the contest to the drivers and help them to register themselves via Whatsapp. As drivers travel, they will be encouraged to send their pictures every day to compete for Daily Prizes for their respective locations.

Winners of daily or weekly prizes will be informed on WhatsApp, and the entries will then be posted on multiple social media channels of Tata Motors, reaching over 4 million people. A final shortlist of images will be promoted on Facebook and Instagram and for the final 3 prizes, winners will be chosen on the basis of public voting and panel selection.

Commenting on the launch, Siddhant Jatia, Vice President, French Motor Car Co. Ltd, “We are privileged to be associated with Tata Motors for this incredible photo contest. It is a great opportunity for the truck drivers to not only channelize their creativity but also a great tool to build their self-confidence. Each winner has his name, individual photo and truck model numbers inscribed with location details on the pictures while posting on social media which is a great recognition for them. I am really looking forward to discovering India through their eyes.”

The contest encourages digital engagement for the drivers and has been running successfully across the country now. Over 7000 drivers have registered with more than 17700+ photo entries across 21 cities. The first phase of the year-long campaign ends on 30th March which will be followed by the final winner selection in the first week of April 2019.
