Kolkata, Aug 7 (IBNS): Frankfinn Institute of Air Hostess Training on Tuesday announced that it will launch 25 state of art all-new training centres in the Eastern region to skill the unemployed youth for a lucrative career in the aviation sector.

Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai, in contrast, ended the year with growth rates of 19.6%, 12.9% and 10.5%, respectively.

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has allocated around Rs 3400 crore for the upgradation of airports in the North East region.

Kolkata airport currently handles 465 flights per day apart from 1,400 overflights. These figures are set to grow to 500 flights a day and 2,000 overflights daily.

Frankfinn’s K S Kohli, Chairman, Frankfinn Group said, “The airports in Kolkata region have recorded a growth of 27.02 per cent over the previous year. To meet the phenomenal demand created due to the rapid developments in the Aviation sector in the Eastern region, Frankfinn, as World’s No 1 air hostess training Institute, is planning to open 25 new centres to nurture young talent for a flying career in the Eastern region. Equipped with an erudite faculty, unique pedagogy and practical exposure, the centers will groom upcoming students in search of a rewarding career.”

Union Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu during his recent visit to the Kolkata, said that a direct flight between Kolkata and any European city would help as it would cut time and money as around 2.5 lakh passengers travel to Europe from Kolkata each year.
