Financial assistance provided to aspiring rural entrepreneurs under B2V3 initiative

Srinagar:  With the aim to promote self-employment and entrepreneurship among the rural population and to mitigate the burgeoning rural unemployment, the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh Tuesday handed over 21 sanction letters involving a loan assistance of Rs 1.84 crore to the young rural entrepreneurs under the B2V3 self–employment program.

Zonal Head JKB Rajouri, Shareesh Sharma; Lead District Manager JK Bank Rajouri, Sunil Sharma and other Branch Heads of JK Bank branches were present on the occasion. Deputy Commissioner informed that these 21 cases have been sanctioned under PMEGP; JKR EGP; and PM-MUDRA scheme and Sponsored by the Jammu and Kashmir Bank.

The primary objective of self employment schemes is the eradication of poverty and employment generation.

"An increase in employed individuals would inevitably reduce poverty and bring about income parity in the urban and rural populace," Sheikh said.

Sheikh said that the promotion of self employment to make the rural areas Atmanirbhar is the vision of the Lieutenant Governor.

He said the district administration is committed to provide the required platform and other logistics to aspiring rural entrepreneurs of the district.

The Deputy Commissioner also lauded the efforts of JK bank in identification and sanctioning of the cases in such a short time.

Similarly, District Development Commissioner Reasi, Indu Kanwal Chib Tuesday handed over 21 sanction letters involving a loan assistance of RS 89.54 lakh among young rural/ entrepreneurs.

Assistant Vice President J&K Bank, Vikram Malhotra, Cluster Head J&K Bank Reasi, Lead District Manager JK Bank Reasi and other Branch Heads of JK Bank branches were present on the occasion.

Deputy Commissioner informed that these 21 cases have been sanctioned under PMEGP; JKREGE, PM Svannidhi and PM-MUDRA scheme and sponsored by the Jammu and Kashmir Bank.
