European Business Group and British Business Group organized 'Dateline Delhi' 2015

In this year’s edition, veteran  journalist Ashok Malik, Swapan Dasgupta of the Statesman &the Daily Telegraph, Victor Mallet, South Asia Bureau Chief of the Financial Times, and Vinod Sharma, Political Editor of The Hindustan Times participated in the discussion on current affairs. G4S India supported the initiative that witnessed participation from subject experts and eminent media personalities.

‘Dateline Delhi’ has been a well-received annual EBG-BBG event from the very first time it was held in the year 2000.

Over the years the evening has evolved into a platform for respected voices to share their opinions with representatives of Indian and European businesses, as well as policy makers, on subjects ranging from governance, policy and the economy.

Commenting on the proceedings of the evening, veteran journalist, Mark Tully, said, “We have had a lively discussion with such an eminent panelthis evening. Such discourse is engaging for the audience and meaningful for businesses and policy makers who seek to encourage Indo-European trade ties.”

Some of the issues discussed by the panel included Modi government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, linking India’s economy with the global supply chain,  the need for a single-window clearance system, the setting-up of a 100 smart cities pan-India and the requirement of skill development among India’s workforce. The panel discussion was followed by a question answer session with the audience.
