Bajaj Auto March sales moves down by 20 pc

Mumbai: Bajaj Auto on Monday reported a 20 per cent decline in auto sales in the month of March at 2,97,188 units, as compared to 3,69,448 units sold in the corresponding period last year.

Its total domestic sales declined nearly 36 per cent to 1,26,752 units from 1,98,551 units sold in March 2021, while the exports remained flat, the company said in a statement issued here.

The auto maker's domestic 2-wheeler sales dropped 41 per cent to 1,07,081 units from 1,81,393 units sold in March 2021.

However, the domestic sales of commercial vehicles improved 15 per cent to 19,671 units from 17,158 units in the corresponding month last year.

The exports of CVs however, declined by four per cent to 21,193 units from 22,157 units in March 2021.
