US tourists held in Thailand for nude temple photo

Bangkok, Nov 30 (IBNS): Be careful about what you brag on the internet, as not everything goes unnoticed and unpunished, like two Americans learned, the hard way.

Out for a vacation in Thailand, US citizens Joseph and Travis Dasilva, both 38, shared their nude images on Instagram and Twitter, that were reportedly taken at the Wat Arun temple.

It soon caught the attention of the officials and they were held.

Both will be fined and deported, reported BBC quoting sources.

The network quoted deputy spokesman of the Thai immigration police, Col Choengron Rimpadee, as saying, "Once they are through with the charges, the Thai immigration police will revoke their visas and push for deportation."

"They will also be blacklisted from coming back to Thailand," Rimpadee added.

Thailand has a very strict rule about disrespectful behaviour.
