Washington, June 10 (IBNS) In a major move, US President Barack Obama has officially endorsed Hillary Clinton as the Democratic Party presidential nominee.

In a video, Obama said: "I want to congratulate Hillary Clinton for creating history as the presumptive Democratic nominee for President of the United States."

"I know how hard this job can be. That's why I know Hillary will be so good at it," he said.

Clinton and Obama are likely to campaign together soon.

"When we come together...we won’t just win in November—we’ll build on the progress we’ve made," the President said.

Clinton thanked Obama for his support.

She tweeted: "Thanks, Obama."

Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren has also endorsed Clinton.

Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump reacted to Obama move to endorse Clinton and said the US President wants to see his policies continued for the next four years.

"Obama just endorsed Crooked Hillary. He wants four more years of Obama—but nobody else does," Trump tweeted.
