Los Angeles,Jun 2 (IBNS): The gunman who killed a professor of University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) was on Thursday identified as his former doctoral student, who was an Indian-American named Mainak Sarkar, media reports said.
According to the Lose Angeles Times, Sarkar, an alumni of the IIT-Kharagpur, shot and killed professor William Klug at an office in UCLA.

He also killed himself on Wednesday.

Sarkar had reportedly accused the professor of stealing his computer code and then share it with someone else.

"William Klug, UCLA professor is not the kind of person when you think of a professor. He is a very sick person. I urge every new student coming to UCLA to stay away from this guy," Sarkar wrote on March 10, which is now available with the media.
