Two regions of Ukraine holding referendums

| | May 11, 2014, at 08:25 pm
Donetsk, Ukraine, May 11 (IBNS): Pro-Russian separatists in Ukraine's two eastern regions are voting on Sunday in referendums to split from the rest of the former Soviet republic even as the move is condemned by the Ukrainian government and the United States.
"Self-proclaimed leaders in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions are going ahead with the vote despite Russian President Vladimir Putin's call to postpone it," BBC reported.

The two regions are voting to decide over self-rules.

There is only one question to vote upon on the ballot papers, in both Ukrainian and Russian: "Do you support the act of state self-rule of the Donetsk People's Republic/Luhansk People's Republic?"
