Toronto, Apr 30 (IBNS): Trading in the Toronto Stock Exchange will resume on Monday morning after it was shut down early on Friday due to technical fault, media reports said.

TMX Group, which operates the Toronto Stock Exchange, said a hardware failure was the cause of the early shut down.

The company said the defected module has been replaced, tested and ready to go for the trading this morning.

TMX also said the early shut down of the stock exchange had affected both primary and redundant components.

The problem has also reportedly affected the TSX Venture Exchange, the TSX Alpha Exchange and the Montreal Exchange.

The company said the outage had first occurred in the Montreal Exchange on Friday.
