Toronto's upcoming 2023 by-election for mayor creates thousands of jobs

Toronto/IBNS: Upcoming Toronto’s 2023 by-election for mayor has created the availability of thousands of jobs including ballot officers, tabulator officers, customer service officers and standby officers, a news release has said.

Eligible requirements for applying are being at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in Canada.

Interested and eligible applicants can now register and book an interview for temporary paid positions to work during the 2023 by-election for mayor for six advance voting days from June 8-13 and on election day, June 26. 

Successful applicants will be required to enhance their skills in customer service, problem solving and teamwork.

Role responsibilities, requirements, pay and time commitments, including training and working hours, are available on the Toronto Elections employment webpage .

At the time of their interview, successful applicants will be assigned roles based on their knowledge, experience and the availability of positions with best efforts to place applicants at a voting location closest to their identified home address.

Those without access to the internet or a computer requiring assistance are requested to call the recruitment line at 416-338-1111 and press 2, or TTY 416-338-0TTY (0889).
