Syria: Conjoined twins die

Damascus, Aug 24 (IBNS): Conjoined twins Nawras and Moaz, who were evacuated from the suburbs of Syria's Damascus city, have died, media reports said.

"Nawras and Moaz were joined at the chest, with hearts in the same sac," BBC reported.

The one-month-old twins were waiting for the needed documents to travel abroad for surgery, reports said.

Syrian American Medical Society's Turkey advocacy manager, Mohamad Katoub tweeted: "Nawras and Moaz passed away this early Morning. The whole world couldn't have the permission to evacuate them.
