‘Stomp on your head’: Omani flydubai co-pilot’s chilling posts on violence against women surface
Omani co-pilot Hamam al-Hammami, who allegedly attacked Indian pilot Smit Machchhar during a cockpit fight on a Tel Aviv-bound flydubai flight, had reportedly expressed support for violence against women, along with other controversial views, in his past online interactions.
According to an investigation by The Telegraph, Hammami allegedly endorsed severe punishment justified by references to Islamic law and posted homophobic and sexually humiliating comments while studying at a British university.
The Telegraph investigation into Hammami's past social media interactions found him allegedly saying that women should be "stomped on" and calling for women to be given a "pre-emptive slap" while he was enrolled at Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) in High Wycombe, NDTV reported.

In one social media interaction, he allegedly told a woman, "I'd stomp on your head, wipe the floor with you, make you an example to others, and then divorce you :)."
He also reportedly called a man a "coward" and "scoundrel" for failing to assault his wife after seeing her talking to another man.
Hammami's past social media activity also reportedly showed that he supported Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Flydubai co-pilot's aviation course
The flydubai co-pilot accused of attempting to seize control of a Tel Aviv-bound aircraft and carry out a "terrorist attack" had previously completed a distance-learning aviation management course at a UK university, Sky News reported.
Buckinghamshire New University has confirmed that Hamam al-Hammami had previously enrolled in and completed a remote aviation management course at the institution.
The university clarified that Hammami did not undertake any pilot training at BNU.
"Our thoughts are with the injured pilot, crew and passengers involved in this incident," a university spokesperson said.
Alleged cockpit attack
Hammami allegedly attacked Indian captain Smit Machchhar with a crash axe during the flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv, according to UAE Prosecutor General Hamad Saif al Shamsi.
The aircraft, carrying 182 people, subsequently made an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, after passengers and crew members reportedly subdued the alleged attacker.
The incident has drawn international attention, particularly after reports emerged about Hammami's alleged past extremist views and online activity.
