Somalia plane attack: Al-Shabab shoulders responsibility

| | Feb 14, 2016, at 03:37 am
Mogadishu, Feb 13 (IBNS) Somalian fringe group Al-Shabab on Saturday confirmed its involvement in the Somalian plane attack which took place last month, according to media reports.

The BBC reported that Al-Shabab owned the deed through an e-mail and said that it was a revenge for Western intelligence operations in the country.

The plane which had taken off from the capital had to make an emergency landing as a suicide bomber aboard the plane blew himself up and drilled a large hole.

Though the blast took place, the group admitted that it had failed in its operations to bring the plane down.
