Singapore Airlines flight catches fire, no casualty

Singapore City, June 27 (IBNS) While making an emergency landing at the Changi airport , a Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight on Monday caught fire.

However, no casualty was reported. All 222 passengers and the 19 crew remained unharmed.

The plane was on its way to Milan when the mishap occurred.

"Flt SQ368, a B7300ER opting SIN-MXP returned to S'pore on 27Jun due to an engine oil warning message. The aircraft right engine caught fire after it touched down at ard 6.50am. The fire was put out by airport emex svcs & no injuries to the 222 pax + 19 crew on board," the airlines tweeted.

"Pax disembarked safely & will be trsf to another aircraft which is expected to depart for MXP later tdy. SQ is working with authorities," it said.
