One killed in shooting at northeast Mississippi church in US

Houston, Aug 12 (Xinhua/UNI) A man was killed in a shooting on Sunday in a church in the northeastern part of the US state of Mississippi, local media has reported.

A police source said the shooting, which occurred inside West Ripley Church of Christ in Tippah County, was caused by altercation and involved a law enforcement officer named Keith Bullock.

The victim, 57-year-old Patrick Sanders, was pronounced dead at the scene.

It remains unclear what happened between the two, and an investigation is underway, police said.
