Man dies in Toronto after street fight

Toronto, Nov 5(IBNS): A young man probably in his 20’s was pronounced dead in hospital after he was assaulted in a fight early Saturday near College and Bathurst Streets, Toronto police confirmed.

Police spokesperson, Const. Craig Brister said Toronto police was called around 2:25 a.m. about a dispute happening in the streets.

Brister said CBC news, “It appears at this point to have been a fight.

The fight according to Brister appeared to happen on the street close to the intersection of the roads.

He informed, the man who was in a life threatening condition was taken to the trauma center, where he was pronounced dead.

The Homicide Squad of the Toronto Police have presently taken over the investigation.

Detectives are trying to obtain security camera video footages of the incident to continue their investigation further. However, no suspect information is available.

Toronto Paramedic Services, deputy commander Evert Steenge, confirmed CBC News, “There was no indication of a gunshot. He was assaulted.”
